Extrapyramidal syndromes
Motor syndromes caused by the effects of neuroleptic drugs on the extrapyramidal system include:
- akathisia - restlessness
- dystonia - muscle stiffness
- oculogyric crisis - involuntary eye-rolling
- opisthotonus - torticollis
- Parkinsonism - tremor, shuffling gait etc
- tardive dyskinesia - face and tongue symptoms

The various syndromes can be mistaken for histrionic or hysterical reaction.
