Reference range
- the normal levels of homocysteine are purported to lie between 8 and 15µmol/L
- levels above this are classified into
- moderate hyperhomocysteinaemia 16-30 µmol/L
- intermediate hyperhomocysteinaemia 31-100µmol/L
- severe hyperhomocysteinaemia > 100 µmol/L
