  • nausea, vomiting, constipation, and drowsiness
  • respiratory depression hypotension in high doses

Not for use:

  • where peristalsis should not be inhibited
  • where abdominal distension develops
  • in acute ulcerative colitis or antibiotic colitis

Not recommended for children

Tolerance and dependence may occur with prolonged use.
