The most common features at presentation are:
Metastases are present in 20%. They mostly affect the liver and lungs, and occasionally, bone.
General symptoms are commonly anorexia, weight loss, fever and anaemia.
Paraneoplastic syndromes are rare. They may cause hypertension or erythrocytosis.
