Camptodactyly may be classified according to whether the flexion deformity presents with an extensor lag (passively correctable), a complete block to extension or a fixed flexion position. Also, the deformity may be isolated or part of a wider syndrome. Radiographic changes can be used to further subdivide the anomaly, so helping to guide treatment.
