Transfer RNA is a relatively short, clover leaf-shaped polynucleotide RNA molecule which is made within the nucleus and functions within the cytoplasm. It attaches the correct amino acid to the protein chain being synthesized according to the codon sequence on messenger RNA which it encounters - translation.
