In ulnar dysplasia, there may be a malformed elbow joint. This may range from a mild deformity of the coronoid process to ankylosis of the elbow. At its most severe, an elbow fusion can result in a hyperpronated forearm that is dorsally angulated. Shoulder and upper arm anomalies are more rare. They include stiffness and hypoplasia of shoulder muscles, the humerus and the glenoid fossa.
