Blond hair
Blond or fair hair is most frequently a normal variant. However, some conditions, because of their effect on melanin production, tend to be more frequently associated with blond hair, including:
- hypomelanotic disorders, such as albinism
- phenylketonuria - more often described as mousy
- cystinosis
