Complete sternal cleft
A complete sternal cleft is a serious congenital abnormality in which bone may be completely absent between the hyoid and the pubis. Additionally, there is a crescentic anterior defect in the diaphragm and diastasis recti. Communication occurs freely between the pericardial and peritoneal cavities.
