Superior mediastinum inferior to aortic arch
Within the superior mediastinum, the following structures are situated inferior to the aortic arch:
- ligamentum arteriosum
- left recurrent laryngeal nerve
- left principal bronchus
- superficial cardiac plexus
- bifurcation of pulmonary arteries; the pulmonary trunk
