Fisting

Authoring team

Fisting is a feature of cerebral palsy affecting the hands where the hands screw up into a tight fist. A particularly abnormal sign is if the thumb is inside the clenched fist, rather than over the fingers.

Some authorities regard an adducted thumb as a feature of early fisting.
