Inclusion bodies
These are a histological feature of certain viral diseases. For example:
- rabies - Negri bodies - these are accumulations of viral RNA in the hippocampus and cerebellar Purkinje cells.
- CMV - 'Owls eye' inclusion bodies - in partoid, kidney, liver, lung
