Bartter's syndrome
Bartter's syndrome is an autosomal recessive renal disorder.
Presentation is often in childhood with gastrointestinal upset, failure to thrive and polyuria.
The metabolic derangement consists of:
- hypokalaemic alkalosis
- elevated renin and aldosterone levels
