Investigations in chronic regional pain syndrome include: (1,2)
- plain radiography: may demonstrate osteopenia
- bone scan: may demonstrate increased activity in the affected limb
- laser Doppler flowmetry: increased blood flow compared to the contralateral side
- starch-iodine test: increased sweating
