Leukocoria
Most commonly due to:
- congenital cataract
- retrolental fibroplasia
- corneal scarring - ocular toxocariasis
- persistence of the tunica vasculosa lentis
- retinoblastoma
Any child with leukocoria should be refered to an ophthalmologist for consideration of examination under anaesthetic.
