Scanning electron microscope
A scanning electron microscope is similar to a transmission electron microscope except that instead of electrons passing through the specimen, they are reflected back by the surface and picked up by a detector perpendicular to the specimen surface.
The scanning electron microscope has greater potential magnification than transmission electron microscopy.
