Investigations
The investigations to consider for intraventricular haemorrhage are:
- ultrasound:
- the choroid plexus is echodense
- can see the enlarged ventricles in hydrocephalus
- CT scan:
- this investigation shows that IVH is much more common than clinically detected. However, problems exist with the radiation dosage and equipment transport.
