Anterior surface
The anterior surface of the clavicle has two key muscle attachments, both of which project slightly onto the superior surface:
- pectoralis major - clavicular head; from the medial half of the anterior surface
- deltoid; from the lateral one third
Between these two muscles is the hiatus of the deltopectoral triangle within which lies the cephalic vein.
