Pain of the knee
Pain is the most common knee symptom and it is often felt in the anterior, medial, lateral and less commonly in the posterior knee (1).
One should attempt to distinguish between the diffuse pain of inflammation or degenerative change, and the well localised pain present in mechanical disorders.
