Leptospiraemic or septicaemic phase
The leptospiraemic phase of leptospirosis is characterised by:
- severe headache
- fever
- malaise
- anorexia
- myalgia
Suffusion of the conjunctivae occurs in the majority of patients.
Lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, and skin rashes occur infrequently.
