Cryoglobulinaemia (essential)
Idiopathic cryoglobulinaemia may be associated with a necrotising polyarteritis. It is characterised by:
- absence of underlying systemic illness
- palpable purpura
- arthralgia
- weakness
- hepatosplenomegaly
- diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis
It is usually a mixed type cryoglobulinaemia, type I or II.
