Associated conditions
Chronic autoimmune hepatitis may be associated with a variety of other possible autoimmune conditions such as:
- Hashimoto's thyroiditis (7%)
- diabetes mellitus
- ulcerative colitis (4%)
- fibrosing alveolitis
- Coomb's positive haemolytic anaemia
- myasthenia gravis
Other associated conditions:
- thrombocytopenia
- keratoconjunctivitis sicca (35%)
- leucopenia
- non-destructive migratory polyarthritis
- renal tubular acidosis (24%)
- peripheral neuropathy
- glomerulonephritis
