Drugs in pregnancy:
- drugs given in pregnancy
- full history of drug, gestational age at use, teratogenic effect
- is the drug potentially teratogenic?
No - no further action, except ultrasound in particularly anxious mothers
Yes - confirm gestational age by ultrasound
either - drug taken outside organogenesis - no further actions
or - drug taken at critical phase - refer for specialist advice and ultrasound scan
