Condom (female)
Female condoms are a recent development as a form of contraception.
A female condom - or femidom - is a loose-fitting, prelubricated polyurethane sheath that is approximately 7 inches long and 3 inches wide.
The failure rate is about the same as a male condom or a diaphragm, i.e. 2-5%. This means that if 100 women used a female condoms as their means of contraception for a year, then on average 2-5% of them would become pregnant despite using the female condom.
