Scrotal mass not confined to the scrotum
A scrotal swelling that an examiner is unable to get above may be:
- an inguino-scrotal hernia
- a varicocoele of the pampiniform plexus - may have a cough impulse
- an encysted hydrocoele of the spermatic cord
