Physiological
Tiredness may have a variety of physiological causes:
- after physical activity - this is usually pleasurable tiredness
- after prolonged bout of heightened emotion - taking exams; on stage; on holiday - a common experience as stresses of daily routine fade during first week of annual holiday.
- after a prolonged period of sleep deprivation (1)
- during dieting or anorexia
- environmental noise
- boredom
