Causes of right iliac fossa pain include:
- acute appendicitis
- mesenteric adenitis in the young
- leaking duodenal ulcer
- diverticulitis
- pelvic inflammatory disease
- salpingitis
- ureteric colic
- inflamed Meckel's diverticulum
- ectopic pregnancy
- Crohn's disease
- biliary disease, if the gall bladder is low-lying
