Joint involvement in haemochromatosis
30% of symptomatic haemochromatosis patients have a slowly progressive degenerative arthritis of the metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints.
Larger joints may be involved.
Chondrocalcinosis of the knees is common.
