Infection related
Infections which may cause aplastic anaemia include:
- hepatitis - usually in men; develops within 3-6 months of infection with hepatitis C
- Epstein Barr virus
- rubella
- cytomegalovirus
- brucellosis
- tuberculosis
- toxoplasmosis
- venezuelan equine encephalitis
