Differential diagnosis
Phaeochromocytoma is a great mimic. Its differential diagnosis includes:
- essential hypertension
- migraine
- thyrotoxicosis
- alcohol withdrawal
- carcinoid syndrome
- hypoglycaemia
- angina pectoris
- pre-eclampsia, eclampsia or simple hypertension of pregnancy
