Leukotriene C4
Leukotrienes C4 to E4 are produced from leukotriene A4 by sequential amino acid substitution. They are thought to be intimately involved in inflammation. General effects include:
- bronchoconstriction
- vasoconstriction
- increased post-capillary permeability with subsequent oedema
- smooth muscle constriction
