Blood tests in angina
The following blood tests should be performed on a patient with angina:
- fasting blood glucose
- fasting lipid profile - which includes total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) and triglycerides (1)
- full blood count
- serum creatinine - to evaluate renal function
- electrolytes
- thyroid functions tests
