The vascular supply to the pericardium can be divided into:
- arterial supply:
- fibrous pericardium and parietal layer of serous pericardium:
- pericardiophrenic arteries
- musculophrenic arteries
- bronchial arterial branches of aorta
- oesophageal arterial branches of aorta
- superior phrenic arterial branches of aorta
- visceral layer of serous pericardium: coronary arterial supply
- fibrous pericardium and parietal layer of serous pericardium:
venous drainage:

- pericardiophrenic veins
