Mr Jonathon Pleat

Jon is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Bristol, UK.

He graduated from Oxford University Medical School in 1995. He completed his basic surgical training in the Oxford and Wessex Deanery. His research focused on the nature of human scarring from a clinical and biochemical perspective. This led to his post as Director of Research for the burns, wound healing and scarring charity, Restore. His clinical interest is burns, skin cancer and scarring and these fields have taken him to renowned units on five continents. He is the Lead for The Scar Team, the UK's first independent multidisciplinary group focusing on the assessment and treatment of scarring.
