Polydactyly is the most common congenital upper limb anomaly. The most common form is ulnar polydactyly. For ulnar polydactyly there is a relative racial disposition for African Americans with a relatively increased incidence of 1 in 300 live births. For radial polydactyly, there is a predilection for white children with a tendency for a unilateral phenotype.
