The main causes of neurological abnormality in the upper limb are:

  • cervical spondylosis
  • thoracic outlet syndrome
  • radial nerve lesions
  • ulnar nerve compression at the elbow or wrist
  • median nerve compression at the wrist (usually the carpal tunnel syndrome)
  • Sudeck's atrophy
  • combined lesions
