Flexural psoriasis may occur:

  • in conjunction with typical plaque lesions elsewhere, or
  • in conjunction with nail and scalp lesions only, or
  • alone

Lesions may occur in any or all of:

  • groin
  • natal cleft
  • axillae
  • umbilicus
  • submammary glands (1)

Such lesions often present as well defined, erythematous, shiny rashes lacking scale on account of heavy maceration (1). The plaques are frequently itchy.
